Something about mankind – we love to exaggerate our own importance at times. We like to think about how friends, family, work couldn’t operate or function without us. Even the most intelligent, most innovative, wealthiest person can be replaced. God created all of us and gave us our talents and abilities. We are able to be who we are because of Him and because we are part of His purpose.
Nothing is without God. Having a healthy realization that man is His creation and made to worship Him will “lead a man to riches, honor, and long life” (Proverbs 22: 4 TLB). Proverbs 16: 18 (MSG) warns that “first pride, then the crash — the bigger the ego, the harder the fall”. God is not a God to share His glory. Know your role in His Kingdom.
